THE DOOM TRAIL

  A journey nobody asked for.

Guide a doomed little party across a trail that hates them, through weather that will question their sanity, past creatures that mostly just want to be left alone (you will not leave them alone).

Pick your party — from one absolute loser traveling completely alone to a full family of five — choose what pulls your wagon (or nobody, if you enjoy suffering), and set out for The Threshold, hundreds of miles away. Along the way:

  • Random events with real consequences — moral dilemmas, dumb luck, disgusting encounters, and a few things you can't unsee.
  • Real weather — sky conditions and temperature both matter, and both can ruin your week.
  • Hunt, cast unreliable magic, and ration your food while your party's sanity frays in real time.
  • Five towns, five named NPCs, each with their own personality and opinion of you — ask for advice, beg, or try your luck at theft.
  • Individual party moods — someone might come back from town suspiciously relaxed. Someone else might just be furious for a week after a run-in with a goat.
  • Three difficulty levels, an adjustable start month, and a save system, so you can put this down and pick the suffering back up later.

Every death gets a proper epitaph. Every choice can go wrong in a way you didn't expect. This is Oregon Trail if it had a considerably worse attitude.

Content warning: explicit language, crude and dark humor, violence, and adult themes throughout. Not suitable for minors.
